MORE ABOUT SOFIA CARFARO
Sofia is a theatre director focused on atmospheric work and creating empathetic spaces. She seeks to use immersive experiences to bring the weird and the fantastic into unexpected environments and use fantastical experiences to expand the minds of audiences and communities beyond what is possible, human, or rational in natural outdoor settings.

Sofia will graduate in June with a BFA in Theatre Arts (directing concentration) from The Theatre School at DePaul University. She has used the time during the pandemic to develop her interest in integrating mask-work with her theatre and teaching herself to make performative masks on her own for a cumulative capstone project.
